Compass Training

8th & 15th Nov lunch time- Learning how to use a compass properly including taking a bearing, following the bearing etc. We were also shown how to work out the distance your walking by paces. 2 average length steps per pace. We walked 100m and counted how many paces it takes to walk that far.

For me 54 paces per 100m. 

Training

1st Nov lunch time- I learnt about portable cookers and how to use them safely. Practised setting up Trangias, then blindfolded and then one handed. What and what not to do and where to set them up.
